I am thoroughly enjoying your book, The Living Page! A group of us Charlotte Mason homeschoong moms are reading it together as a book club selection. Had to share that, but I do actually have a question related to this post too - do you have a version of A History of everyday things in England that you recommend?

Hello Erika,

Thanks for writing and for the very kind words about The Living Page. I am delighted when someone finds my work of use. I can’t really help much about your question, I’m afraid. I do think this is a wonderful series and I read it first on-line. I know there are reprints and reproductions and I am not up on all their attributes. I think any one of them would be better than not using them. I’m not particularly fond of the most recent print- on -demand reproductions of many of the older books —they tend to have small miserable print and few good illustrations. This series is superb in its illustrations so look for the best and largest of those if you have a choice. The link below is not the on-line version I am accustomed to but a good one. Sorry I can’t be more help.

Thanks again, for the note,

    Virtual Life?

A wee explanation: this website was created as a way to amplify the daily surprise of seeing glory in one small life.  The notebook entries represented here are all selected from things actually lived and noted on paper in an effort to live the full life British educator Charlotte Mason so ably championed.
