Three white blossoms this week. Late June friends.

Elderberry bushes are frothy white. Berries will follow in clumps.

Dogwoods for sure but I was certain I saw a variety come out before the Magnolias...early this spring. I must pay more attention.

Looking  for Chestnut Trees I found this wonderful Van Gogh I had no idea about with a checkered past ....apparently it was stolen and then recovered from a Swiss museum in a great art heist. You can read about it here: http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1712209,00.html

Oh elderberries! How fortunate for you to have elderberries nearby. I absolutely love the flowers for a special winter children's syrup and the berries in an immune boosting syrup. Alas, I must resort to purchasing these wonders at a bulk herb store as none grow in my area.
I just came across your site and love the looks of the BOC you have for sale. My guys are still using a wall timeline as they are grade 1 but when I'm ready to do a timeline in a book, yours is what I'll be looking for! Wonderful!

    Virtual Life?

A wee explanation: this website was created as a way to amplify the daily surprise of seeing glory in one small life.  The notebook entries represented here are all selected from things actually lived and noted on paper in an effort to live the full life British educator Charlotte Mason so ably championed.

    In Appreciation
Photos chosen are linked to their original posts in most cases because I have found something of value there and hope my readers will likewise find a helpful resource.  In the case of miss-attribution or if you desire your work not be linked, please let me know.
