In my Nature Notebook...

Got as close a look at a skunk this morning as i ever want to get. Fortunately i was behind my picture window for this introduction. He (she?) was huge! This photo doesn't begin to show how full and white his coat was or his footstool-like stature. (I didn't have time to take a picture as he beetled toward me and down our hill and eventually across the road, but this guy gives you the shaggy idea.)

I never thought I would say this but that skunk is beautiful. It would be interesting to do in watercolor. LOL
