Juncos daily at the feeder. Juncos vary in appearance across North America and are ground birds, hoppers, of the sparrow family.

We have these come daily to our feeders here in Alberta. My husband enjoys calling them “Chunkos”. They will eat in any kind of weather!

I love that! I have been learning recently just how hungry birds are! I think I read that a chickadee eats his whole body weight each day.
